SANCTIFICATION OF THE ORDINARY
Finding God's Grace in the Ordinary Days of Life
Frederick Buechner writes, "If I were called upon to state in a few words the essence of everything I was trying to say both as a novelist and as a preacher, it would be something like this: Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace."
This blog seeks to do just that - find God's grace among the very ordinary days we call life.
I serve as the Lead Pastor of Kairos Church, a new church plant in the Central New Jersey area. Prior to moving back to New Jersey, I served as the Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church Tuscaloosa, Alabama from 2016-2019. Roll Tide Roll!
I'm a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Lee University. Originally from Maryland, I enjoy anything with Old Bay. Life is better because of my wife Emily, son Bennett, and daughter Lucy.
